An Extreme Heat Watch is in place for nearly the entire Bay State as the region braces for punishing heat and humidity beginning Wednesday.
Monday will be warm, with temperatures expected to reach the mid to upper 80s for much of Massachusetts, though coastal areas should be a few degrees cooler. Temperatures are expected to begin climbing on Tuesday, with highs at or above 90 expected in Boston, Worcester and Springfield.
