Our heat wave is over! Much more comfortable air is here, and rain is coming

After a hot and humid stretch leading into the Fourth of July, New England gets a much more comfortable finish to the holiday weekend.

Today will be less hot, breaking the heat wave with highs in the low to mid 80s with lower humidity.

You can expect a mix of sun and clouds to round out the holiday weekend with lower rain chances.

The forecast will take a rainy turn for the start of next week.

Monday will be wet with the chance for soaking rain arriving Monday afternoon for the Southern New England coast, becoming more widespread by Tuesday.

Expect dreary conditions through the day Tuesday with some pockets of heavy rain embedded in the line of showers and a few storms…
