A Massachusetts police department has filed a criminal complaint against one of its officers

STOW — The Stow Police Department has announced that it has filed a criminal complaint against one of its officers for potential violations of state law.

On June 18, a Worcester County resident alleged that Jason Rogers improperly used departmental and state systems to access personal information. The complainant and officer were known to each other.

The Department immediately opened an investigation and placed the officer on paid administrative leave, actions consistent with existing policies as well as collective bargaining agreements. Such investigations are common and serve to determine the facts of a complaint…
