GRAFTON – Three years ago, Ann Marie Foley and a friend were looking to put a difficult 2022 behind them. That year, Foley had lost her husband, Robert, and her friend was mourning the loss of her brother.
Training for the 2023 Pan-Mass Challenge proved to be their solace.
“We needed a goal, something to look forward to, and something to work towards,” Foley said. “The two of us rode it that year. We didn’t have bikes – we went and bought them – and we didn’t have any idea what we were doing, other than some coaching from my son. It was great.”…
