A history of White Cliffs… after the Wesson family: Different owners, fond memories for historic structure

NORTHBOROUGH – White Cliffs will be returning to its former glory. But what did that look like?

White Cliffs was first used as an event space by the Panepirotic Federation of America, an organization that still exists today. This organization was founded in Worcester, Massachusetts in 1942 by Greek immigrants to improve the economic situation and quality of life for people living in the Epirus region of today’s Albania and Greece.

A report on the history of the organization makes note of the White Cliffs property. The architecture was considered exquisite, with balconies reminiscent of mansions in Epirus. The building consisted of 28 rooms built with the rarest timber from abroad and contained a treasure trove of ancient artifacts. At the request of their Archbishop, the organization purchased the property in 1942 to serve as its headquarters and as an educational center…
