Worcester Pride returns downtown Saturday for one of city’s largest cultural celebrations

For five hours Saturday afternoon, downtown Worcester swaps its usual weekend rhythm for music, dancing, food, hundreds of vendors and a whole lot of rainbow.

But organizers of this year’s Pride Worcester Festival are making clear that the gathering is intended to be more than a party.

The city’s annual Pride festival returns from 2-7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, on the Worcester Common and surrounding downtown streets, bringing together LGBTQ+ residents, families, allies, performers, artists, businesses and community organizations for what has grown into one of Worcester’s largest cultural events…
