A man died after being pulled from an Oxford pond following a canoe turnover Sunday evening, according to police.
First responders from multiple agencies were called to Lowes Pond around 6 p.m. by a 911 call from a resident of 60 Park St. The resident reported that a man had asked for help after emerging from the woods near his home, which is located next to the pond.
The man told the resident he had been fishing with his friend when their canoe overturned. The man’s friend had not emerged from the water…
