WORCESTER – Crowds estimated to reach over 10,000 filled Franklin Street outside Worcester City Hall on Saturday, Sept. 19, according to organizers, as the city hosted its first Worcester Night Market.
The event, organized by Refugees & Immigrants Cultural Empowerment Massachusetts (RICEMA), brought food, art and performances from cultures across the city to the downtown area from nearly 100 vendors and community organizations.
“It’s unbelievable. Absolutely unbelievable,” said Austin Brooks, who worked on marketing for the event. “We’ve never had an event this big before.” Brooks said he had worked for more than a year to promote the Night Market and bring different parts of Worcester together for the event…
