Massachusetts Environmental Police issued a public reminder this week that hunting, trapping, and fishing occur year-round in the Commonwealth and that interfering with those lawful activities is a crime.
In a statement, the agency said many residents hunt, trap, and fish legally across the state and that harassing people engaged in those activities is prohibited. Officials said mutual respect among outdoor users is intended to keep people safe and allow legal recreation to continue.
