WORCESTER, Mass. — A crash on Belmont Street early Sunday morning turned into a drug trafficking investigation after Worcester Police officers found individually wrapped baggies of drugs and a large amount of cash inside a bag belonging to the motorcycle operator involved in the collision.
Officers were dispatched to Belmont Street at approximately 3:03 a.m. on October 4 for a reported crash. When they arrived, they found a vehicle with significant front-end damage and determined that a motorcycle had also been involved.
As officers worked to identify the operator of the motorcycle, they located a bag that EMS personnel had cut off of him. Officers opened the bag while attempting to locate identification and found a large plastic bag containing individually wrapped baggies of drugs along with a large amount of cash…
