Overnight bridge work on Mass Pike in Framingham begins Sunday

FRAMINGHAM, Mass. (WWLP) – Overnight bridge work has been scheduled to begin on Sunday for the I-90 ramp bridges over Route 9 in Framingham.

Road repaving in Northampton beginning Monday

According to the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT), the work will take place Sunday through Thursday during the overnight hours of 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., the next morning. All of the bridge work will be completed by 5:00 a.m. on Friday.

Overnight traffic will be impacted to allow crews and contractors to perform work safely and effectively. The following detours will be in place:

  • When the I-90 eastbound and westbound (exit 111) off-ramps to Route 9 westbound are closed, traffic will be directed to follow the detour signage in place and use Route 9 eastbound then reverse direction at Country Club Lane to access Route 9 westbound.
  • When the Route 9 westbound ramps to I-90 (exit 111) are closed, traffic looking to access I-90 eastbound/westbound will be directed to follow the detour signage in place and continue westbound on Route 9 and follow signage for Route 30 and Route 9 eastbound to access I-90 eastbound and westbound.
