Thirteen charged in drug trafficking ring in Worcester, Puerto Rico

BOSTON (WWLP) –  Thirteen people have been charged for their alleged roles in a drug trafficking organization operating in central Massachusetts and Puerto Rico.

Those charged include individuals from Worcester and surrounding communities, as well as Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic.

According to charging documents, the organization was led by 34-year-old Jack Saez Jr. of Dayville, Conn. Investigators say the group received packages through the mail containing kilogram quantities of cocaine shipped from Puerto Rico for distribution in Massachusetts.

Over the course of the investigation, more than 10 kilograms of cocaine sent through the mail to addresses in Worcester County were seized. The organization is also accused of distributing methamphetamine and fentanyl…
