Wow, it really is the end of an era. I attended Worcester Polytech in the late 1980s and it was really neat that there were so many other colleges around. At the time Becker was ‘right up the street’ from us and many students at WPI dated Becker students. We’d meet up at parties regularly. Anna Maria was out in Paxton, so about 20 minutes away. Certainly not like going into Boston, but not as close as many of the other local colleges like Holy Cross or Clark.
Still, we always considered Anna Maria as ‘one of the group’.
And now it’s going away!…
