BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – The Department of Homeland Security is proposing a more than $1 million investment to help create a task force at Baton Rouge Police Department headquarters aimed at combating violent crime.
The cooperative endeavor agreement would fund renovations to a 9,000-square-foot space at BRPD headquarters to house a team of around 30 investigators focused on gang violence and other violent crimes in the Baton Rouge area.
