The rain just keeps coming across South and Central Texas. After a historically active April and May, the first half of June has also brought heavy rainfall to the region. San Antonio has already recorded 5.7 inches of rain this month in the city’s third-rainiest start to June since 1990.
The rainfall is finally starting to make a noticeable difference in the region’s lake levels, which had been on a steady downward trajectory since last fall.
This week, some of the heaviest rainfall occurred across eastern Bandera and northeastern Medina counties, along the Medina River watershed.
