Kalamazoo-area rink to celebrate reopening Saturday

TEXAS TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — What used to be Wings West ice rink will reopen Saturday with a free public skate and a new name: Biggby Coffee Ice Cube Kalamazoo.

Taking place from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., visitors to the reopened ice rink can enjoy free admission for either a public skate or stick-and-puck session for all ages and skill levels.

Community skating will take place from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and a social time from 5:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. will include complimentary refreshments and information about summer events.
