The streets, trails and scenic backroads of Wayne County came alive as the Great Ohio Bicycle Adventure rolled into Wooster, bringing hundreds of cyclists and a measurable economic boost to the community.
From June 23-25, an estimated 800-1,200 riders participated in the multiday cycling tour, generating an economic impact of $240,000-$540,000, along with an additional $350,000 to more than $800,000 in indirect spending across Wayne County. Those figures reflect an average daily spend of $100-$150 per participant.
