SILVIS, Ill. (KCRG) — Zach Johnson will tee off Thursday in his 24th John Deere Classic, choosing to compete at TPC Deere Run this week instead of the Senior Open.
Johnson, a Cedar Rapids native who now competes on the PGA Champions Tour, won the John Deere Classic in 2012.
He became the 22nd player to win his Champions Tour debut at the James Hardie Pro Football Hall of Fame Invitational. Earlier this month, he won the Principal Charity Classic in Des Moines by four strokes. Johnson said he still believes he can contend at the event…
