COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — During a Wednesday press conference in Vinton County, Ohio Attorney General Andy Wilson and Vinton County Sheriff Ryan Cain cautioned that, due to various reasons, the investigation into how 16 children were allegedly left abused and victimized could take some time.
Paramount in their reasoning was the children themselves are reportedly limited in their ability to communicate, at one point describing them as “feral.”
Whether or not any of the children have an educational background is unknown, as well as how 16 children went virtually undetected in a home for approximately four years. Wilson said it is believed that most of the alleged victims spent their time in a 12-by-12 room on Ohmer Street in the Village of Hamden, Ohio, just north of Wellston.
