Fireworks leave debris, fire and air quality concerns across Omaha

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – The morning after Fourth of July fireworks, some Omaha residents were left cleaning up debris, dealing with the aftermath of a small fire and facing concerns about air quality.

At Somerset Park, multiple large piles of fireworks debris remained on the ground in the days following the holiday. Derrick Mills, a neighbor in the Somerset area, said he had to clean up the mess himself.

“I wanna say it’s good for everybody to go out and celebrate America. We’re a great country, but also at the same time you have a huge mess,” Mills said…
