HUDSON, N.Y. (WNYT)- A Columbia County horse farm operator was convicted of animal neglect and is set to be sentenced next month, according to the Columbia County district attorney’s office.
Andrea Nussinow, 64, of Blue Star Farms near Nevis Road in Tivoli, was found guilty June 25 of three counts of Torturing or Injuring Animals or Failure to Provide Proper Sustenance, the district attorney’s office said. The verdict came after a three-day bench trial in Hudson City Court.
Sentencing is scheduled for 10 a.m. Aug. 25 in Hudson City Court. The release said each count is an unclassified misdemeanor punishable by up to a year in jail, a $1,000 fine or both, along with possible probation and other court restrictions…
