The internet is very mad at me right now, guys.
I was walking along Lake Michigan yesterday and was thrilled to see how many people were enjoying the beautiful vibes of Chicago summer. And if you’re a Chicago resident, then you’re fully aware that people will just lay out on the concrete next to the water if it’s nice outside. For us, it’s very normal. But the rest of the world fucking HATES it.
I came to find this out in my very first week living here. This was back during the times of Friday Morning Swim Club, which was essentially a community cold plunge that occurred every Friday morning at sunrise. Hundreds — if not thousands — of people would come to the concrete beach with floaties and inner tubes to get their day started. I thought it was a cool event, but the internet did not agree…
