EPSO deputy arrested for touching woman inappropriately

(EL PASO COUNTY, Colo.) — A deputy with the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office (EPSO) has been arrested and placed on administrative leave after he allegedly entered a business and touched a woman inappropriately.

According to EPSO, dispatchers received a call on Tuesday, July 14 from the 6800 block of Fountain Mesa Road, south of Big Johnson Reservoir. The caller stated that a man walked in to a business and inappropriately touched a woman. The suspect reportedly was unknown to the woman and left the scene prior to deputies’ arrival.

Through their investigation, deputies identified the suspect as 34-year-old Christopher Ramirez. Ramirez, a deputy with EPSO, was located, taken into custody without incident, and booked into the El Paso County Jail.
