NISKAYUNA — Big things are happening at GE Vernova’s new $110 million research campus in Niskayuna.
So big, some of the work is considered “classified” by the federal government.
But beyond the top-secret work — when pressed, GE Vernova executives wouldn’t explain what the work was — Vernova is focusing on some groundbreaking work in the energy sector that has the potential to impact large swaths of society, from making sure hyperscale data centers don’t destroy the electrical grid, to solid-state transformers, and even technology to make drinking water out of thin air, like magic…
