DOWNTOWN AKRON — An invitee to the high-profile July 3 wedding of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce purchased three items from Don Drumm Studios and Gallery to gift the newlyweds, a representative from the studio told the West Side Leader.
Among the items purchased was a cast aluminum casserole dish, shown at near right, created by founder and resident artist Don Drumm. Drumm has been professionally creating art in the Greater Akron area for nearly 70 years. He opened his studio at 437 Crouse St. near The University of Akron in 1960 and expanded it to a one-room gallery in 1971.
Also purchased was “The Wedding Couple” ornament, shown at far right, hand-crafted in pewter by Drumm’s youngest daughter, Leandra Drumm. She has been creating art for over 25 years and now oversees the Don Drumm Studios and Gallery…
