PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. (CBS12) — A Delray Beach man was arrested Wednesday after deputies say he pointed what appeared to be a rifle at responding law enforcement during a welfare check, prompting a deputy to open fire.
According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office probable cause affidavit, Alexander Bucspun, 23, faces three counts of aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer and one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Deputies were dispatched around 1:32 p.m. on Wednesday to a residence in the Country Club Acres 3 community near Delray Beach after a caller requested a welfare check on Bucspun, telling authorities he was acting erratically and may not have been taking his medication…
