Georgia man dies from self-inflicted gunshot wound while driving on I-90

New York State Police are investigating a deadly incident after a driver died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound while traveling on Interstate 90 in Erie County.

Troopers responded Wednesday afternoon to a one-vehicle crash on I-90 eastbound near milepost 435 in the town of Hamburg.

Investigators say a Toyota Corolla was traveling eastbound when the driver, identified as 29-year-old Daniel J. Nostrum of Douglasville, Georgia, used a 9-millimeter handgun and suffered a fatal self-inflicted gunshot wound…
