Hazardous smoke lingers after record-setting day for Toledo air quality

The air quality in the Toledo metropolitan area is hazardous as smoke from Canadian wildfires blankets the area.

“We smashed the record,” said Jay Berschback, chief meteorologist for 13abc in Toledo. “The records go back to 1999, and the AQI numbers were near 600 this morning.”
