The Long Beach Police Department asked for the public’s help Thursday in identifying three people believed to be connected to a robbery that resulted in an off-duty officer firing shots over the weekend.
Police say the officer was in a residential area near Bixby Road and Orange Avenue at around 1:30 p.m. Sunday when two people approached him and allegedly robbed him at gunpoint. Details about what was taken from the officer were not released.
