HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — Horry County police made multiple arrests in connection with a monthslong investigation into the alleged ill treatment of animals, authorities said on Friday morning.
Jachym Ni’Yan Evans, 20; Themontres Malik Livingston, 24; and Jemar Dwight Chestnut, 44, have each been charged with criminal conspiracy. HCPD made the arrests after the alleged mistreatment of animals at a property in the 3000 block of Rainbow Drive in the Longs area.
Between April 23 and May 26, HCPD investigated reports of animals being neglected and mistreated, and multiple dogs were safely recovered from the property. A North Carolina-based dog rescue organization will provide care for the animals. The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division assisted HCPD throughout the case.
