RTD budget proposals could eliminate most transit service in Broomfield

BROOMFIELD, Colo. — The Regional Transportation District’s effort to close a looming budget gap could eliminate much of Broomfield’s already limited public transportation network, affecting residents who rely on it to reach jobs, medical appointments, shopping and housing.

The same budget proposals have drawn attention for potentially eliminating Denver’s Free MallRide along 16th Street.
