MADISON COUNTY, Ala. (WAFF) – Heavy rainfall on Sunday has caused flooding across portions of Madison County, leaving several roadways impassable due to high water.
Madison County Sheriff’s Office officials said the following locations are currently closed or unsafe for travel:
- Elkwood Section Road
- Silver Creek Road
- Moores Mill Road at Darwin Road
- Portions of Steger Road
- Briar Estate Boulevard
The flooding is concentrated in the Meridianville, Hazel Green, and Moores Mill communities.
