SEDGWICK COUNTY —On Tuesday, the Kansas Highway Patrol reported that in June, a State Trooper in Sedgwick County attempted to stop a black sport motorcycle for going 87 mph in a 65 mph zone. The rider decided that rather than stopping, he would flee.
Less than a month later, on July 8th, the same Trooper spotted the same motorcycle traveling 117 mph in a 60 mph zone. The rider thought he could get away again. However, after a 3-minute pursuit, the rider decided to make a good decision and stop.
The rider was taken into custody for the following requested charges including a Local warrant, Fleeing and eluding law enforcement, Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, Driving while revoked, Driving as a habitual violator and Speeding (117 mph in a 60 mph zone)…
