A Heat Advisory remains in effect through Tuesday evening across much of the Tri-State. Afternoon heat index values will climb to between one hundred and one hundred five degrees, with some locations feeling as hot as one hundred ten tomorrow afternoon. We’ll also see several chances for showers and thunderstorms over the next few days. Stay hydrated, limit time outdoors during the hottest part of the day, and keep an eye on the sky for developing storms.

Health officials continue monitoring the Cyclospora outbreak affecting several Midwestern states, including Indiana. The outbreak began earlier this spring and has been linked by federal investigators to contaminated shredded iceberg lettuce served at some Taco Bell restaurants. While the investigation continues, local restaurants say they’re reviewing produce handling procedures and reinforcing food safety practices. Health officials are also reminding consumers to thoroughly wash fresh fruits and vegetables whenever possible…
