Fresh and locally sourced food cooked by a local chef led a cross-section of the community to east Gainesville.
Hosted by Grassroots, the inaugural pop-up community dinner billed as “Eat Like It Matters” was held July 18 at 2626 E. University Ave. in the Elite Service Plaza, owned by the Gainesville Housing Authority. Plans are to have a community dinner quarterly.
