The Anderson County Board of Commissioners are looking for two citizens who would like to serve on the Board of Zoning Appeals. They would serve a a five-year term ending in September 2031.
The Board of Zoning Appeals consists of five members and one alternate, according to a news release from Anderson County commission. Terms are for five years and are staggered. Powers of the Board of Appeals are 1) to hear and decide appeals where it is alleged there is error in any order, requirement, permit, decision or refusal; 2) to hear and decide requests for special exceptions or for interpretation of the map or for decisions upon other special questions; and 3) grant variance.
