Jail officials say only one inmate elevator currently works in Oklahoma County Jail

OKLAHOMA COUNTY, Okla. (KOKH) — Oklahoma County leaders are taking a closer look at ongoing problems with the elevators inside of the jail. The issue and project price tag were discussed Monday during a special Infrastructure meeting.

According to jail officials, the current elevators in the jail are more than 30 years old and their average lifespan is 25 to 30 years.
