LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Linda Albanese, one of the original women known as “Rosie the Riveters,” has turned 100 years old!
Albanese celebrated her 100th birthday surrounded by family, friends and neighbors at Oakmont of The Lakes over the weekend.
She’s known for working on military aircraft at airbases in California and Arizona during World War II. She fabricated parts, repaired instrument panels, and helped repair planes at a time when women were rarely given opportunities to perform such skilled work…
