Roxanne Helus, a Manteca home-based day care owner, was sentenced to six years in state prison for the 2025 death of 5-month-old Christian Olvera.
Last month, Helus pleaded guilty to child abuse and endangerment, involuntary manslaughter – failure to perform a legal duty, and driving while under the influence. She also admitted to an aggravating factor of trust.
