CHATTANOOGA — Children’s Hospital at Erlanger has opened the Children’s Hospital Land of Enchantment, or CHLOE, a new outdoor play space designed for pediatric patients and their families.
The third-floor garden offers an accessible environment with colorful play structures, flowers and Chattanooga-themed murals that allow children to enjoy time outside while receiving medical care.
Hospital leaders say the space was created to give young patients a safe place to play, relax and spend time with loved ones during treatment.
“CHLOE happened because people believed in it and gave to make it real,” said Jim Coleman, President and CEO of Erlanger. “When a family is going through the hardest days of their lives, this place gives them a few minutes to just be a family again. That’s worth everything.”…
