CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) – The westbound inside lanes of I-64 near the I-464 interchange in Chesapeake were shut down, and a detour was in place Monday night, while emergency responders assisted an individual experiencing a mental health crisis, Chesapeake Police confirmed.
A Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) traffic alert said, in addition to the inside lanes, the westbound express lane was also closed during what VDOT described as “security/police activity.”
