LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Officials with the Little Rock Municipal Airport Commission reviewed conceptual schematics for a new arrival hall and terminal commons during its meeting on Tuesday.
Officials said the renderings point toward the goal of modernizing the passenger experience for airport users and expected growth. The designs were created by Minneapolis-based architecture firm Alliiance.

Officials are considering several improvements as part of future terminal planning, including construction of a new baggage claim area and a larger, more efficient TSA security checkpoint. Plans also call for the addition of more gates to accommodate future growth and improve passenger capacity.
Other concepts under review include expanded space for restaurants, retail shops and passenger amenities, including an outdoor terrace beyond the security checkpoint.
