Goose Creek man gets maximum term in federal prison for weapons charges

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) — A Goose Creek man now knows how long he will spend in federal prison after leading police on a high-speed chase while illegally possessing firearms in 2024.

Thomas Ancrum, 37, was sentenced to 115 months, or more than nine years, in federal prison, the maximum term for his charges. He will also serve three years of supervised release following his prison sentence.

Ancrum was charged with two counts of possession of a firearm by a felon.
