Twenty-five vehicles were entered in two South Carolina neighborhoods over two weeks. Police said every one of them was unlocked.
The number grew out of several connected scenes in Mount Pleasant. Officers first responded Thursday to reports that 19 vehicles had been burglarized in Charleston National. A firearm was among the property reported stolen, and three residents said their vehicles were gone.
