BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. (NBC 15) — ARC Baldwin County has filed a lawsuit asking a judge to block the Alabama Department of Mental Health from revoking the nonprofit’s certification and closing an organization that has served people with intellectual disabilities for nearly seven decades.
ARC filed its notice of appeal and request for judicial review July 6 in Baldwin County Circuit Court, five days after Mental Health Commissioner Kimberly Boswell notified the organization that its certification was being revoked.
