NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — Metro Council has given final approval to a major redevelopment project in The Nations, but a debate over the future of some of the neighborhood’s most recognizable murals is far from over.
The mixed-use project at 5901 California Avenue will bring new apartments, retail and commercial space to the area. Before approving the project, council members adopted an amendment outlining what must happen to the existing murals.
