Woman arrested for alleged drug possession, stealing in Arnold

A woman was recently booked at the Jefferson County Jail in Hillsboro on charges for drug possession and felony stealing. She allegedly stole items from the Kohl’s department store, 2150 Michigan Ave., in Arnold and was found with substances that tested positive for fentanyl and methamphetamine, according to court documents.

On July 13, Dana Michelle Powell, 31, of St. Louis was booked at the Jefferson County Jail in Hillsboro. As of Monday, July 20, she was being held on a $2,000 bond, court and jail records show.

The Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office has charged Powell with felony possession of a controlled substance and felony stealing. She also has been charged with felony counts of second-degree drug trafficking and possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor counts of fourth-degree assault, stealing and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia in St. Louis, court documents said…
