Greene County board to consider limiting public comment to residents

GREENE COUNTY, Va. (WVIR) – The Greene County Board of Supervisors is set to take up a proposed bylaw that would limit public comment at board meetings to county residents, property owners and business owners.

The board is scheduled to meet July 28. A meeting agenda published Wednesday includes the proposed change to “matters from the public” — a move that follows a recent meeting at which nine speakers from outside the county addressed the board.
