NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – More showers, storms are in our forecast.
A drought update was released early Thursday morning. It shows that much of Middle Tennessee and Southern Kentucky is done with the drought, at least for now.
The only counties in our area with moderate drought status (showed in orange shading on the map below) are Sumner, Macon, Trousdale, Cannon, DeKalb and Cumberland. Areas shaded yellow are classified as abnormally dry. The spots with no added coloring at all (just a plain map background) reflect where the drought is done. There even could be a long-term surplus, albeit minor, in those spots.
