A South Puget Sound fisherman is charged with nine counts of unlawful fishing and one gross misdemeanor after state officers say he hauled protected sharks out of the water and posted photos and videos of the catches on social media.
The charges follow a months-long Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife investigation into Connor Seifert, who is accused of ripping protected sharks from Puget Sound for trophy photos. The case began in April, after Fish and Wildlife officers received 14 complaints about Seifert.
